Just finished reading your book in my car during a 2hr intermission. I am in awe! So powerful! So needed! What a testimony! You took me back through time. I can hear Elder Hutton shouting out in unison with the congregation, "I can do all things through Christ whom strengthens me. Christ is the answer." Very proud of the transformation in you thats abundantly evident in this book. Also, Grateful to our Lord for it all. I will admit that there were times that I had to break from my reading as I wept, but the tears streaming now are of joy. I am so inspired by your triumphant victory with Jesus. Keep doing His will and walking in His favor and blessings"
"I received the book "My Pretty... and Its Ugly Truth" and couldn't wait to read it. My daughter told me that the book would be a quick and interesting read and that I'd love it. I was reading a TD Jakes book at the time, thinking I'd swap in the reading materials, but once I started reading De'Vonna's book I couldn't stop reading it. I was done with it within three days. This book is definitely a page turner. I've been bragging about this book to my co-workers and now I have people coming up to me asking "if they can they download it on their E-Reader, or if they can order the book". My co-worker even told me she peaked at my book and has now ordered her own copy. I would recommend this book to anyone. Congrats De'Vonna Pittman, and may God Bless you endeavours".- Shelia Henderson
"What else can I say but......WOW!!! I finished this book in 4 hours because I just could NOT put it down! It takes alot of strength to be able to talk about sexual abuse, let alone write about it for the world to see. Mrs. Bentley Pittman draws you into her world and keeps you on the edge of your seat. This book made me cry, smile and praise GOD!! It gives me the courage to confront and deal with demons that have been buried SO deep, even I have forgotten they were there. The truth can be an UGLY thing...but as we can tell from this book...it also will set you FREE!!!! Kudos"
"This book is a must read for all young women who have been through unimaginable trials and tribulations they need to know that they are not alone! and can overcome anything with God by their side. AWESOME BOOK."
"I COULDN'T PUT THIS BOOK DOWN! DE'VONNA IS VERY BRAVE AND COURAGEOUS. FROM START TO FINISH HER STORY IS CAPTIVATING. I WILL ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO PURCHASE A COPY FROM HER HOMETOWN OF FORD HEIGHTS BECAUSE SHE IS A PRODUCT OF FORD HEIGHTS."
"This was beyond an amazing book. I cried, laughed, smiled, and truly felt what the author was going through while reading this book. It was an inspirational book and left the reader with a feeling of hope. I have passed the book on for my friends to read and encourage others to read it as well. Well done De'Vonna!"

"My Pretty...and Its Ugly Truth" - Available NOWWW!
~Foreword~
Secrets. Everybody has them. We can choose to disclose them to intimate friends or we can bury them...deeply in our graves of shame; in the innermost alcoves of our consciousness, not recognizing that they have rooted themselves so far into our essence that, if unchecked, become the insidious driving force that shapes every life decision.
In "My Pretty...and Its Ugly Truth" De'Vonna Bentley-Pittman reveals her very personal and raw experiences of being a very pretty girl plagued by sexual abuse, rape, unhealthy relationships and the effects of growing up in poverty. Her coming-of-age journey from a misused "product of the streets" to an empowered advocate for those, particularly young women, who feel powerless due to years of abuse, is a fascinating one. Like so many others, she grew up in a single-parent household with a mother who worked hard to provide for her children.
The "streets" called her away from home, and she was led into a tangled web of promiscuity - unhealthy relationships, drugs, pregnancy, and almost selling her very soul. In spite of everything she lost, she never lost the one thing that would propel her forward -- hope.
As a speaker, teacher, writer, and editor, who constantly looks for ways to inspire others, I find "My Pretty...and Its Ugly Truth" to be that kind of inspiration. I laughed, I cried, I winced, I gasped, I sighed...and now I salute De'Vonna Bentley-Pittman. She is the voice today for victims of sexual abuse careening down a desperate and confused path. She is that Moses, that Harriet Tubman of our time that can and will lead others to a promised land of hope...and to their very own beautiful truth.
